The Gasparee Caves are a cave system located on Gaspar Grande and named after the island. Gaspar Grande is one of five islands off the Western Peninsula of Trinidad locally called down the islands. There are regular boats from Trinidad to Gasparee Island.
The cave system is located about 30m below the surface, and covers an area of about 2.000m². It is developed with elevated trails and handrails. It has numerous speleothems like stalactites, stalagmites, pillars, flow stones, and curtains. The biggest chamber is called Blue Grotto because of the subterranean lake with a diameter of 10m.
