Molise

Molise is the smallest region of Italy, and it covers mostly the southern part of the Appenine mountains, ao the whole area is very mounanious. Many of the rocks are limestones, and there are numerous important cave systems, including some rather deep caves. However, there is actaully not a single show cave, not even an easy beginners cave. Most of the area is covered by National Park, and there are guided tours which include the visit of cave entrances and other surface karst features. The area has polje, uvalas, dolines, dry valley and karst springs.
