History

Description

Tinago-an Cave is very popular amongst picnickers, as it is very easy to visit. It was named after two men who hid in it for nearly two years because they were wanted by the guerrillas. Tinago-an means hiding place. They came out only at night in search for food.

The site was mentioned on older webpages and seems to be known by the locals, but it is not advertised any more. Instead, nearby Guinogo-an Cave, a river cave which requires wading through a cave river, is promoted.
