Description

The Owensboro Area Museum of Science and History plans a new exhibit about the western Kentucky coal industry. A replica underground mine will be the center of the exhibit, which also includes a short film about mining, recorded voices of coal miners, and various hands-on displays. Half a million dollar are planned for this exhibit, which is part of the preparation for the 200th anniversary of western Kentucky coal mining.
