It is best reached by boeat from Vathis harbour, there is a popular boat trip to the stalactite cave of Dhaskalió. The cave was inhabited in Neolithic times and finds include flints, pottery and bones. It was also used as a place of worship during Bronze Age, the Middle Minoan and Late Minoan Period.
