Galicia or Galiza is a Spanish autonomous community located in the northwest of Iberian Peninsula. Capital is Santiago de Compostela, the destination of all European Way of St. James Pilgrimages. Largest city is the industrial harbour city Vigo. The region was formerly an independent country with its own language Galego (Galician), today both languages (Galician and Spanish) are official languages.
There are some small caves, some with paintings, but no caves open to the public [2007]. To change this, one small cave is developed as a show cave at the moment. It may be open soon.
