This list of ebooks is mostly fictitious, it is not about science or even caving as a sport, it is a collection of mystery or horror stories.
The only thing they have in common is, they are cave related.
Amazon.com: Blind Descent eBook: James M. Tabor: Kindle Store (visited: 15-DEC-2011)
We were rather confused by this book, as it is published very similar to the book Cave Passages by Michael Ray Taylor.
The cover looks almost identical.
But while Taylor describes the average caver in the United States, this book is the story of cavers at the bleeding edge of cave exploring, doing stunts which are generally avoided for security reasons.
This is the story of the Triple X cave explorers, and although it is indeed about living people and the exploration of the deepest cave (Krubera), we're not sure if it isn't actually fiction.
Amazon.com: Waitomo Caves - Wonderland or WeirdoLand? eBook: Cindy Gold: Kindle Store (visited: 15-DEC-2011)
The story of a visit to Waitomo Caves, but not the show cave.
This describes the cave tubing tour, where visitors are equipped with neoprene and an inner tube and then swim down the dark cave river.
The story was written by a newbie, a tourist, who takes the tour with her husband.
Definitely a good idea to read this before you decide to take any such adventure tour, if you are a newbie yourself.
The author gets really excited several times, but we guess the tour is not really that difficult.
After you've read you know about all thrilling details and should keep in mind that the operators have made this trip with thousands of people for decades now.
As the text is pretty short the ebook is actually only of interest to people who plan such a cave tubing adventure.
