Innlandet


Innlandet is a county or Fylke of Norway, which is landlocked in the middle of the country, at the border to Sweden, hence the name. It is also quite young, it was formed in 2020 by merging the former Fylke Oppland and Hedmark, plus some minor changes. And as it is twice as big now, it is also the largest county of Norway. Like the rest of the country it is mostly crystalline basement with some ores, some mining, and a few spots of marble or limestone which is karstified.
