Qarku I Dibrës

Qarku i Dibrës (Dibër County) is located in the east, north of the middle, at the border to North Macedonia, the capital is Peshkopi. The county is dominated by mountainous and high terrain, with valleys, canyons, gorges, rivers, glacial lakes and dense forests. There are numerous mountains ranging between 1,500 and 2,700 m asl. As a result the territory covers four distinct climatic types, oceanic, continental, mediterranean and subarctic. Tourism is one of the most important sectors in the county and has the largest potential to be a source for sustainable income.
