Yiliang Jiuxiang Canyon Caves National Geopark

Located in Yiliang County the GeoPark has a total area of 167 km². It covers a karst area with 600 Ma old Sinian Dengying Formation limestones. The shallow sea sediments are gray-white siliceous striped dolomites. Typical are the various stone forests as well as karst towers, gorges, tiankengs, loosing streams, and resourgences. The area is said to have the largest number of cave systems in China.
