Shropshire is part of the West Midlands region of England, with a border to Wales in the west. While Shropshire today is one of England’s most rural and sparsely populated counties, it is also the birthplace of industry. Ironbridge, Coalbrookdale and a part of Madeley are a UNESCO World Heritage Site which covers the initial place of the industrial revolution and the iron industry.
