The island of Bali is part of the Indonesian archipelago. Located just east of the island of Java, Bali is a small island about 150 km across at its widest point. The island is volcanic and graced with swathes of fertile land which has been sculptured into rice paddies. The citizens of Bali are mainly Hindu and this religion is reflected in many of its caves.
