2013 cave discovered during the construction of a new villa.
2022 cave restaurant opened to the public.

The Cave or in a longer version The Cave by Chef Ryan Clift is a restaurant inside a natural cave. This cave was discovered in 2013 during the construction of a new villa at The Edge resort-hotel, which is located at the southern coast of bali on a karstified limestone cliff. It was converted into a 22 seat subterranean restaurant serving a seven-course or ten-course menu. The Chef of the restaurant is Ryan Clift, or actually he's culinary director, as he has numnerous restaurants, the most famous is the Tippling Club in Singapore. The restaurant offers modern gastronomy with optional wine and cocktail pairing.

In other words: this cave is well developed with flat floor, electric light, comfortable seating and a kitchen. Its open daily to the public, but not for visiting, for dining only. If you want to see the cave you have to book a menu, and then you have two hours to look at the cave while eating a progressive, avant-garde cuisine menu with LightSon et Lumière between the courses. The seven-course menu starts at 100 €.
