County Tipperary is part of the province of Munster and the Southern Region, it is named after the homonymous town. Located in the central plain of Ireland, ist has several low-mountain ranges, the Knockmealdown, the Galtee, the Arra Hills, and the Silvermine Mountains. There are few caves of significance in County Tipperary. But some of those few are big, dramatic, and well decorated. One of them is the show cave Mitchelstown Cave. Other noteable caves are Pollskeheenarinky and Old Desmond Cave, which are both not open to the public.
