Fez-Meknes


In Arabic فاس - مكناس, in Berber ⴼⴰⵙ-ⵎⴽⵏⴰⵙ, the French spelling is actually Fès-Meknès, is quite young. It was formed in September 2015 by merging Fès-Boulemane, Meknès, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Taounate, and Taza. It was named after the two biggest cities Fès and Meknès. The region contains 7 provinces and 2 prefectures.
