Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima

In Arabic طنجة تطوان الحسيمة, in Berber ⵟⴰⵏⵊ-ⵟⵉⵜⴰⵡⵉⵏ-ⵍⵃⵓⵙⵉⵎⴰ, is the northernmost of the twelve regions of Morocco. The capital is Tangier or Tanger, the peninsula protruding to the north faces the Strait of Gibraltar. So the region has coast to the Atlantic to the west and to the mediterranean Sea to the east. The Rif Mountains in the eastern part of the region have two national parks, Al Hoceima National Park and Talassemtane National Park. The fertile southwestern corner of the region is drained by the Loukkos River. Like most regions it is a result of the 2015 reform by merging Tangier-Tetouan region with Al Hoceima Province.
