Chihuahua is a landlocked state at the border to the U.S.A., the capital is Chihuahua City. Most of the state is a desert with the same name, nevertheless it has more forests than any other state in Mexico except Durango. The state also has a large variety of fauna and flora. The reason is the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range, which is part of the continental spine.
