The Województwo Podkarpackie (Subcarpathian Voivodeship) is located at the south-eastern tip of the country. The southern border is formed by the Carpathian Mountains while the region is actually the lowland north of the mountain ridge, hence the name. The flatlands are not karstified and have few subterranea. But the Mesozoic sedimentary rocks have crude oil which was mined since the mid 19th century. So the only site we have listed so far is an oil mine.
