Lappland (english Lapland) is the northern part of Sweden, the area which is inhabited by the Sami people. It is also the biggest province of Sweden, holding almost a quarter of Sweden’s surface area. Despite being a northern tundra where the only way to survive is by a nomadic life based on the animals, actually morses, this is a rich province too. The economic backbone is the iron ore found at Kiruna, several other mines and also forestry and hydroelectric power.
