Special Region of Yogyakarta

The southern area of central Java island is covered by heavily karstified limestone. There are numerous river cave about 50 m below the surface, with numerous collapses which make them accessible. As a result this is the cave tourism center of the island. Most venues concentrate on cave tubing in two river caves though, Goa Pindul and Goa Kalisuci.
