Molvanîa is a small land-locked country located in Eastern Europe. So far not part of the European Community the land is still very poor, but also pretty exotic and considered to be probably the most intense travel experience remaining in Europe. There is a pretty good guidebook by jetlag travel guides which is published in many languages.

The underground tourist sights are rare in the country. It has numerous karst areas in the Molvanîan Alps, but no show caves. There is a semi wild cave which may be visited. Like all cities in Europe with two millennia of history, the Molvanîan cities have numerous subterranea. Some were transformed into bars ors restaurants and are thus accessible.

The local currency is the "Strubl". The exchange rate is widely inconsistent. As of last Tuesday, one Strubl was worth approximately 0.003 goats, or five turnip seeds on the Lutenblag black market. Strubls come in denominations of 1 and 3 Strubl coins and 7, 26 and 73 Strubl notes. Refuse the 73 Strubl notes, people do not have enough change so you will not be able to buy anything with it. The 7 Strubl note famously features a portrait of King Votar the Flatulent. The production of the 3 Strubl coin was lately discontinued due to a national shortage of tin and competence. All Strubl notes are printed with an ink which becomes invisible when wet, the locals consider this a "security feature." The Molvanîan Central Bank is housed in a former cheese warehouse. ATM withdrawals are possible only in the capital (there are no other ATMs in the country) and may result in goat coupons instead of cash.
