Junín Departamento

Department of Junín

Junín Departamento is a region in the central highlands and its capital is Huancayo. The western range has snowy and ice-covered peaks. The eastern range has high glacier valleys which end up in high plateaus (Altiplano). The rainy season is from November to April, and from December to March in tropical parts.
