One of the three big karst springs at the southern side of Lake Orid is the Tushemisht Spring, named after the homonymous village. The spring is located in the middle of the village and there are several restaurants. The spring water is used for growing fish for the restaurants. Actually, there are numerous water springs and freshwater canals emanating from these springs, creating a network of canals and basins. The water was integrated into the architecture of the houses, with water being a part of the architecture as well as the basis of living through fishing or fish farming.
