History

Description

Hatter's Hideout Cave and Lodge or just Hatter's Hideout is a "hand-built" lodge (whatever this means) with a huge shelter. A private property in the Blue Mountains, east of Sydney, on the road to Lithgow, with a size of 8 acres, contains a lodge which is rented on airbnb, and a nearby cave with a view. If you rent the house you can use the cave for parties, and it is even possible to stay overnight in the cave. The cave is a natural shelter, an erosional cave in the sandstone. The floor is dry and level, covered with sand, and the cave is equipped with benches, which may be used for parties, and a swing. There are fireplaces for a campfire and for barbeque. The trail from the house to the cave is 500 m long and 75 m downhill into Monkey Creek gorge.
