Description

Гарваница (Garvanitsa, The Raven), sometime also called Garvanitsa Cave, is a huge cave ruin and daylight shaft. A 60 m deep vertical shaft which is accessible with a metal ladder which was installed a few years ago by the municipality of Letnitsa and the "Devetashko Plateau" association. Around the cave entrance benches, gazebos, and huts were installed to make it a quite nice picknick area. The daylight shaft is impressive from the rim, when you actually climb down we recommend a chest harness with a carabiner for self-securing.

The site is located between the villages Gorsko Slivovo and Karpachevo. As it has become quite popular it is well signposted. There are numerous events taking place every year at the site.
