History

Description

The Portail de Fully is a natural bridge in dolomite rock. It is located high above the Rhone Valley and named after the small town Fully right below in the valley.

The location is only accessible by a hike. The best starting point is at the Erie car park (1890 m asl). Here a trail named Tour du Portail starts, which is 14 km long and takes about 4 hours. It is accessible weather depending between June and October. The tour is not difficult but requires physical fitness as it includes ascend and descend of about 1,000 m.
