Description

本溪水洞 (Benxi Water Cave) is a huge cave system located at the Taizi River. It is part of the Benxi Water Cave National Park.

The entrance is a huge portal, 25 m wide and 7 m high. Right behind the entrance follows a huge chamber with a pier big enough for 40 boats. Visitors enter the boats and the rest of the cave visit is done by boat.

The cave river is really enormous, with an average flow of 230 l/s. The river is up to 7 m deep and the passage is up to 38 m high and 50 m wide. In the huge entrance hall, a chamber wich is 50 m long and 20 m wide, 3000 years old human remains were found.
