1951 | founded by Don Andrés Maya Fajardo and Doña Rocío Fernández Bustamante. |
Cueva de la Rocío is the name of the cave, the show is called La Cueva de la Rocío Tablao Flamenco. The Maya Family of Granada, a gypsy family with a great tradition, are the operators. This family is a cradle of great artists in the flamenco world. The show is a gypsy Zambra, a party where the artists interact with the audience, where you can feel the heel tapping under your feet. This is probably the most authentic gypsy Zambra in Sacromonte.
The cave is open all year daily and there are four shows every evening. You may come and see a show and additionally have dinner, inside the dining cave or on the terrace during the spring and summer months. The menu is great, we got hungry reading it. All events must be booked online. Normally the show at 22 is open for tourists who just drop by, but this is temporarily unavailable due to Corona.
