Korkia-Mauran Jääluola (Korkia-Maura Ice Cave) is located in the small uninhabited island of Korkia-Maura in the southern part of Lake Inarijärvi. The cave is an ice cave of the cold trap type and has an ice layer at the bottom, which is 15 m long, 1–3.5 m wide, and 1.5–4 m thick. The fishermen of Inarijärvi used the ice cave as refrigerator for fish. According to local lore, the cave was used by the famous seida destroyer Päiviö Vuolab in the 17th century.
The boat trip to the island and the visit of the cave is quite popular among tourists. The island has a jetty, a fire place and a dry toilet. During summer, it is visited by boat, during winter by skiing or snowmobiling.
