History

1868 founded.

Description

The historic cellars of Champagne Canard-Duchêne are located below the Château de Ludes. They were dug by hand during the 19th century and extend over 6 km. There are four levels, between 12 m and 38 m deep. The visit includes the historic vault, an introduction to the traditional method of producing champagne, the old chapel with its renovated stained-glass window, and the obligational wine tasting. There are three different tours which are called Visite Découverte, Visite Liberté, and Visite Charles VII. The tours are identical, the difference is the wine which is tasted afterwards. On the Visite Découverte its the cuvée Incontournable Brut, on the Visite Liberté the cuvée Léonie Brut and the cuvée Bio P181, and on the Visite Charles VII the cuvée Charles VII Blanc de Blancs and the cuvée Charles VII Blanc de Noirs.
