History

Description

God's Bridge is actually a natural bridge, with the Brow Gill Beck flowing through, and the Ribble Way, a long distance footpath, crossing over. However, it is not very spectacular as it is only a 5 m long opening with 1 m in diameter. The bridge is actually formed by a massive layer of limestone which is almost horizontal. The layer below seems to be less resistant and was removed by water.
