Description

Okay, listing Bude Tunnel is a joke, kind of. It is named tunnel, but it is actually not underground, it's a sort of above ground tunnel made of plastic. The 70 m long structure connects the car park with the entrance of the supermarket, and protects its users from the elements. It became famous when it was decorated with LED lights for Christmas in 2019. People also found it funny and so it was awarded in fake and real awards, like the Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice Award. It seems the British public was quite happy to hear news which were not based on Brexit and the tunnel even made it to national news. Unfortunately, the LED lights were removed after Christmas.
