History

1942 bunker built.

Description

This bunker was built in 1942 under German occupation by slave labour. Today it contains a museum about this time, with displays of civilian life during German occupation and a large collection of militaria like weapons and uniforms. The museum was opened in the 1970s by Dickie Mayne and operated for 20 years. When Mr Mayne died the museumwas closed and the collection was sold to the owner of the Channel Islands Military Museum, Damien Horn.
