History

Description

The Georgian Capital Tbilisi has a historic city center which is full of underground bazaars. The most famous and touristy is the მეიდან ბაზარი (Meidan Bazar). However, there are numerous others, most of them in ancient brick tunnels. And as you might have guessed, such a bazaar is a series of small shops, which sell any kind of goods. You can buy classic Georgian knitwear, wines, jams, spices, and craft items. The bazaars are popular among locals and tourists. Some are specialized for certain products, like clothing, shoes, and other everyday items, and are thus intended for the locals. Some have wine shops and bars.

Meidan Bazar is frequented by tourists and thus the palette of goods also includes any kind of souvenir.
