Description

Σπηλιά Ανδρέας (Andreas Cave) is located northeast of Milatos, above the sea and has a great view. To get there, drive north from Milatos to Paralia Milatou, at the harbour turn right. Then follow the road right along the beach for 2.2 km. The road is narrow, a single lane gravel road, and sometimes it looks as if there were no road at all. It ends at the small chapel Εκκλησία Άγιος Κωνσταντίνος (Church of St. Nicholas). From here it's a 50 m hike uphill to the cave entrance.

The cave is a single huge chamber with a huge portal. The ceiling is a cupola, the portal is a 10 m wide and 10 m high arch. The cave is very easy to visit and there is no need for light. It is not very interesting from the speleological view, but the view is great.
