Σπήλαιο Κορμοκόπου (Kormokopos Cave) is a small cave which consists only of a spacious entrance hall with a 6 m wide and 5 m high portal. The cave has some ruins inside, natural stone walls without mortar, probably built for the use of the cave as a cattle shed. The cave has no speleothems and near the entrance is a small spring which produces water all year. The spring is quite popular with the wildlife as well as the cattle. It seems there are lots of bees drinking at the spring, so you should probably be careful when approaching.
The path starts at Agios Ioannis the walk to the cave and back takes about 2.5 hours. The trail is signposted with a blue circle on white. It offers great views of the southern coast and the White Mountains. Despite being much less known than nearby Samaria Gorge, the site is a popular hiking destiniation. Wear appropriate shoes, sun protection, bring enough drinking water. However, as far as we know the water of the spring is potable.
