The Cuevas de Susmay (Caves of Susmay) are a river cave which is not developed. However, the visit is recommended to the more adventurous visitor, information is given at the AFE-COHDEFOR office in Gualaco and the visitors' center alongside. The lower level of the cave is the resurgence of the Río Susmay, it is entered by swimming. This is rather dangerous and so visitors are advised to take a guide.
