白山神社 (Hakusan Shrine) is a wooden building with the typical roof, located right in front of a huge natural cave. The huge chamber has stalactites at the ceiling, and the floor was leveled to place numerous Buddha statues. Hakusan literally means White Mountain, and is a result of the local appearance of limestone. There are many locations named with the adjective white in the name.
