大立洞窟 (Ōdachidōkutsu, Otate Cave) is a cave shelter or abri, which was used by prehistoric man. It is protected by law and was excavated by archeologists. About 1000 relics were excavated, the site was used continuously from the Jomon to the Yayoi period and the Kofun period. Pollen from this cave was analyzed and revealed that the climate of the early Jomon period was cooler than it is now. The cave is located on the slopes of Mt. Okudateyama in the North Meotatsu Forest.
