Description

大谷石のKANEHON of カネホン採石場 (Kanehon Quarry) is an operating open cast quarry of Oya stone. The site includes the quarry, a stone processing plant, a stone waste dump, and the mountain owner’s residence and office. As it is a working quarry its main business is quarrying Oya stone, but it also offers quarry tours to tourists. There is a zipline across the quarry and a sale of Oya rocks. Highlight is a stone oven for making pizzas, of course made of Oya stone. Boots and helmets are provided.
