河内風穴 (Kawachi no Kaza'ana Cave) is located high above the valley and is reached on a walk along the river. The parking lot, a restaurant, ticket office and toilet are located at the road. The cave is located in the Ryozen massif, in the Ryozensankai karst region.
This cave is not for the elderly or disabled. It's necessary to walk uphill on a mountain trail for some time, and then It's necessary to traverse the entrance which is quite narrow and only 1 m high. But after this obstacle the rest of the cave is mostly large. It is a cave system with three layers and the largest cave in the Kansai region. Level one and two were developed as a show cave on a length of 200 m.
