천곡황금박쥐동굴 (cheongoghwang-geumbagjwidong-gul, Cheongok Golden Bat Cave) is the new name of the 천곡천연동굴 (Cheongok Cave). It was renamed because it is home to the endangered Golden Bat.
The main specialty of this cave is its location: right in the middle of the big city Donghae. It was discovered when the foundations of the new city hall were built. As it is located in the city, it is very popular among the locals and an important destination for school classes. It is well developed and a modern cave museum satisfies the didactic needs of the cave visitors. There is also a Doline Trail across the hill behind.
