كفر حيم (Kfar Him) was named after the nearby village. It was discovered by boys playing football. Their ball fell into a hole and they had to climb in to retrieve it and discovered the cave.
The cave has quite nice speleothems, although they are a little mixed. While they write from right to left in the Lebanon, the stalactites seem to grow from the bottom upwards. We guess some helpful guy placed the speleothems in the most dramatic way he could think of, without knowing the whereabouts.
