Description

The Пестерна Црква Свети Стефан (Pesterna Crkva Sveti Stefan, Cave Church Saint Stefan) is a part of the monastery of the same name, Манастир „Свети Стефан“ (Monastery of Saint Stefan). The cave church St. Stefan was built using a natural cave, the cave was closed by a stone wall on its southern side. The age of the church is unknown, but it is at least from the 14th century, as this is the age of fresco paintings in the church. The dormitories are younger.
