The Alutila Cave is a 100 m long cave passage with a shallow but cold cave river. It is undeveloped, but there is a trail with wooden planks to the cave entrance, a ticket office which sells fruits, juices and flambeaux for the cave. Please bring modern electric LED torches, flambeaux are destroying the cave. And despite the name, as far as we know the cave is not closed and there are no tickets necessary. Also there are no guided tours available.
Alutila Cave is named after Alutila Hill, one of the many hills in the hill district of Khagrachari. Despite its name Mystery Cave it is not mysterious at all. We guess the mysterious thing is that caves are so rare in Bangladesh, so this nices little cave is something special. The cave is a through cave and there is only one passage and no possibility to get lost. However, it is not recommended to visit the cave during rainy season, because there is very much water inside.
