MAR-2019 Quranic Park opened.

Description

The كهف المعجزات (Cave of Miracles) is located in Quranic park, as the name suggests this is an Islamic Theme Park. The cave is a huge limestone hill, with some doors, which lead into a huge cave passage with stalactites. There are no stalagmites though, the floor is paved. But despite the pompous description it's all different. However, we were not able to reproduce the original description, so we decided to cite a small part of the Dubai Adventure Trip website.

Tucked away in the rugged mountains of UAE, the Cave of Miracles is a natural wonder that has captivated explorers and locals alike. For many centuries, this enchanting cave has remained a well-kept secret, known only to a few courageous adventurers. However, with the recent opening of the site to the public, anyone can now witness its captivating beauty.

We have no idea why they tell such nonsense, our best guess is that they used an AI written text. The park is artificial, the building is artificial, the limestone walls on the outside are as artificial as the cave inside. Its plastic, plaster and colour. It's a pretty well done cave replica though, but it is neither old nor natural. It was created and opened a few years ago, and they still apologize that not everything is working as intended, and they are working on it.

After what it is not, now what it actually is. The cave was built it is a building, the walls were covered with something which looks much like a limestone cliff. It might be actual limestone, but we were not able to find this out. However, the structure is unnatural, while it looks like actual limeston, the structure resembles a megalithic wall, not layers of sedimentary rocks. The space inside was also covered with cave wall and speleothems, which looks actually quite natural. The stalactites are pretty realistic, you need a close look to see the differences. The cave is actually only the background for a religious exhibition. The ropic are so-called "miracles" of the prophets from the old testament, hence the name Cave of Miracles. There are all seven miracles which are mentioned in the Holy Quran (aka Old Testament).

The Quranic Park has green areas plus 12 orchards and greenhouses for growing the 51 types of plants mentioned in the Holy Quran. The walkways are illuminated with an off-grid solar lighting system. The park is quite popular and on weekends there might be crowds and even queues for the cave, so we recommend to visit on weekdays, if possible.
