History

Description

Sierra Cave is a rather easy cave and noted for its extraordinary beautiful speleothems. It is located close to the much more famous Callao Cave and the staircase to the cave starts at the same parking lot. It makes sense to visit both caves together. The stairs to the cave are signposted. There is also the possibility to visit the cave with guides from several operators. Day trips from Tuguegarao are also offered.

While this cave is considered an easy cave, it is nevertheless a caving trip. The biggest challenge is the crawl called Celica’s Passage, which makes this a cave trekking trip. We strongly recommend helmet, headlamp, additional lamps, good shoes, gloves and kneepads. Old clothes and fresh clothes to change afterwards are also a good idea, as well as a plastic bag for the dirty clothes and a towel.
