Description

ถ้ำน้ำเขาศิวะ (Tham Nam Khao Siva, Khao Siva Water Cave) is a river cave, the visit takes one to two hours wading in the water, which is mostly belly deep. Sometimes its also necessary to swim. As the water has more than 20 °C, this is not as bad as it sounds, nevertheless a thin neoprene suit is a good idea. The tours are operated by the Klong Kai Thuean Municipality which also provides headlamps, rubber shoes, and life jackets.

The cave was named after Shiva, one of the principal deities of Hinduism. The locals believe that a stone shape inside the cave looks like the face of Shiva. The cave has no second entrance, so it is necessary to return the same way.
