History

Description

Sarıkaya Mağarası (Sarikaya Cave) is named after nearby village Sarıkaya. It is a rather new show cave, with modern elevated trails made of carbon fibres. There is also a modern LED light system. With the enormous size and height difference in the main chamber the trail looks like a stairwell transplanted into an airplane hangar. The cave is entered through a huge doline, where the ceiling of the cave has collapsed. A trail leads down the collapse into the cave. The trails are very safe, but because of the enormous numbers of staircases the tour requires a little fitness.
