Eldorado Canyon is the location of the historical Techatticup Mine, which is the oldest, richest and most famous gold mine in Southern Nevada. The mine is operated by Eldorado Canyon Mine Tours, who offer various tours and activities around the old mining town. One trip is called 1880's Mine Tour, and shows both the Techatticup Mine and nearby Savage Mine. The tour includes the ore veins, the mining, and the stampmill.
Eldorado Canyon Mine Tours also rents canoes and two-man kayaks. They also offer movie locations, weddings and photo shooting at the historic location.
